Travel

We prioritize having meetings over video instead of traveling. If travel is required for a meeting, we always question if this can be done over video instead.
When traveling, we choose:

• Walking or biking
• Public transport such as bus or train.
• For some travel, it’s much more efficient to rent a car. If we rent a car, we choose electric or biofuel if available.
• We only choose air travel if the expected travel time by more environmentally friendly options exceeds 6.5 hours, or if there’s a very specific reason.

We still need to travel by plane every now and then. When doing so, we climate compensate through Vi-skogen , according to their calculations. We understand that this does not offset our air travel, but that it’s better to do something than nothing. It also serves as a reminder to us that air travel costs a bit more than just the ticket.

When traveling for a customer, we suggest to include climate compensation in the contract. If the customer has a compensation scheme of their own, or simply does not want to pay, we don’t.

Our employees can expense a Malmö by bike subscription, enabling them to bike to any meetings in central Malmö. Bike helmets are available at the office.

Work

We are not interested in working for companies that are extraordinarily bad for the environment, eg in the fossil fuel industry or big polluters. However, we could end up work on projects where such companies want to improve and lessen their environmental footprint.

Therefore this is judged on a case-by-case basis rather than having a fixed rule.

Office

For our workplace we use an electricity plan with only renewable energy sources.

The company stays away from one-time-use plastics, such as straws, plastic cutlery etc. We use washable equipment when we can, and biodegradable disposables otherwise.

We will always have good facilities for recycling, making it easy for our employees to sort their trash correctly.
When buying groceries, we choose organic produce when possible.

We prioritize having an office easily accessible by bike or train rather than by car. We will strive to make it easy to commute in a responsible way.

In all purchases, from pens to computers, environmental concern is a factor. We think twice to see if we really need to buy it at all, and if so, can we buy it used. We adapt the philosophy of Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose and Recycle.
